WELCOME TO LISMORE WORKERS FC

The origins of LWFC go back to the formation of the Eastwood United Soccer Club in 1949, as one of the foundation clubs of soccer in the Lismore District. For over 35 years, Eastwood United successfully fielded many teams in junior and senior competitions. In 1985 the club entered into an arrangement with the Lismore and District Workers Club. The soccer club became affiliated with the “mother” club and took on the playing name of Lismore Workers. Most recently the soccer club has joined the football world to become known as Lismore Workers FC (Football Club). Embellishing the passions and long term traditions of strong football clubs, Lismore Workers have always played in the same colours of predominantly red with white blazing. Over the years this has led to the clubs teams being widely known as “The REDMEN”.

The home of Lismore Workers FC during all these years has been in the heart of Lismore City, at Rec 12 which has since been renamed Richards Oval. In the mid 1990’s the soccer club moved to secure its home as Richards Oval with the building of a modern clubhouse and player facilities.

In 2009 LWFC celebrated 60 years of continued involvement with the development of soccer in Lismore and Northern NSW. The club stands proudly as one of the most successful regional football organisations, both on and off the field. Currently, LWFC have many senior and junior sides participating at various levels in both male and female divisions. These range from the elite Football Far North Coast Premier League sides, through to competitive and non-competitive teams in junior age groups. In total we have in excess of 100 senior men and women members, and beyond 250 juniors participating at LWFC.

“The goal of Lismore Workers FC is to offer a quality football experience for all players regardless of their age or ability. We recognise the importance of sport in the development of young people in our community”.
