Workers Win Premier men's 2012 Anzac Cup Final

Workers Premier Men's team has won the 2012 Anzac Cup Final in a 4-3 win over Byron Bay at Oakes Oval on Anzac Day, in what was an entertaining game with the score fluctuating throughout the game. The game was entering stoppage time when Kurt Walker scored the final goal. Man of the Match, Wayne Mortimer scored a hat-trick for Workers and was well supported by everyone of his team mates who played their hearts out against a very strong Byron Bay side.

Congratulations to Coach Scott Collis and a very big THANKYOU to all of the Workers supporters. It was a magnificant sight to see everyone decked out in red & white and especially the kids with their faces painted, which added to the atmosphere. A truly great bunch of supporters.
