Lismore Workers Football Club has announced the appointment of coaches for their Mens and Womens Premier Division, for the 2011 Football Far North Coast season.

Scott Collis has signed on for his second year at the helm of the Men’s Premier Division, and is looking to take the young squad to another level with its football in 2011.

Both the Men’s Premiers and Premier Reserves finished mid table in 2010, showing plenty of potential and ability to compete with the top teams in the competition.

In accepting the appointment Collis said “season 2010 was a new experience in Premiers for many of the younger players, and for myself in the coaching role. We played some good football at times and will be aiming for greater consistency and a harder edge in 2011”.

Collis has been involved as a player and coach at Lismore Workers since 1999. Having played at representative level himself, and under several successful coaches, Collis brings great passion and a highly respected football brain to the job.

“We worked hard last season and showed we were capable of playing an entertaining style of football. With greater depth and experience we are looking forward to translating that into results in 2011” Collis said.

The club has also made the appointment of Men’s Premier Division player Daniel Kelly as the coach of its Womens Premier Division team for next season. Kelly has coached at youth level at the club, and after a successful year re entering the Women’s Premier Division in 2010, the club is excited about the teams prospects under the his guidance.

An excited Kelly said “I am really thrilled to have been given this opportunity to coach senior football at Lismore Workers F.C. I look forward to the challenge ahead and I’m confident we can build on the team’s achievements from last season”.

In making the announcements, Club President Wayne Marchant said. “It is great news that we are able to make these appointments well in advance of the start of the new season. Both coaches are enthusiastic and we have set out some very real and achievable goals on how we wish to perform in 2011.There is a good vibe and a lot of enthusiasm at the club right now.”
