The need to source new referees is greater than ever and we appeal to previously registered players and supporters to consider becoming a referee.
Registered players can still act as match officials as we can work around the playing schedule of your designated team and other personal commitments – remember, matches are now played on Friday night, all day Saturday and Sunday as well as some Tuesday nights.
The course for First-Time referees is called a “Level 4 Referee course” and there are several steps to follow and these are outlined below.
Steps to follow:
1. E-mail and confirm “which” venue you will attend. Note that you are required to attend ALL sessions at the venue you nominate. Registration for courses is essential so we know how many participants there will be for each venue.
3. The Laws of the Game Certificate is now available as an online course. You must access the link and find the section on the Homepage that reads “Browse through the Laws of the Game immediately or register for a FREE account if you wish to complete the interactive workbook and receive your Laws of the Game Certificate.”
5. Bring your printed certificate with you to be eligible to participate in the Level 4 Referee course. NOTE: We can’t allow you to participate without this certificate being sighted.
6. The cost of the course will be $50 per person and is payable at the first session. (Cash or Cheque payable to FFNC Referee’s Association is acceptable).
